Review: O’Right Goji Berry Volumizing Shampoo

Touted as the world’s greenest shampoo, it does everything a volumizing shampoo should.

O’Right is an award-winning green haircare brand from Taiwan. It is the world’s first carbon neutral hair company. It’s CEO and founder, Mr Steven Ko, suffers from serious allergic symptoms which led to him make this brand his business. The year he launched Hair O’Right International Corp, both his parents passed away from kidney disease and cancer. Since then, Steven has dedicated his life and business to helping people stay away from heavy metals and harmful chemicals, one hair product at a time.

My previous review was on O’Right: Free Mind Mud. A hair mud product that I swear by and use everyday.

If you have fine limp hair like I do, you really want to pay attention to this brand of hair products because they do not do much advertising. Cost is directed to creating green hair products produced by clean energy like solar and wind power and sustainable eco-friendly packaging materials. All labels are also printed in soy ink!

O’Right’s Goji Berry Volumizing Shampoo marks my second review of O’Right hair products. This is a volumizing shampoo that strengthens your hair. Made with certified organic foaming agents, this gentle shampoo cleanses the scalp and regulates the sebaceous secretions. The antioxidant-rich Goji Berry extract reinforces hair roots giving hair the strength it needs; creating great bounce and volume to hair. It is free of hormones, phthalates, parabens, formaldehyde, sulfates, thickeners and colorants.

Compared to most shampoo, the texture of this shampoo is more watery. But, it foams up really well because it uses top grade amino acid and glucoside type certified organic foaming ingredients. This gives you healthier hair and is more eco-friendly to Earth. Also, the scent is amazing and lingers on to the next day!

Morning after using O’Right Goju Berry shampoo. No hair product used for this shoot.

I have been using this shampoo for a quite while and I love it. Another plus: Noticeably less hair fall. I only need to clear my bathroom drain net strainer once every other day instead of everyday.  This shampoo is not cheap ($44) but it is worth the splurge. One bottle can last about 2 months with daily use.

Retail: $44 per 400ml. It is available at all Organic Hair Professionals outlets island-wide.
