Review: Heliocare SPF 50 Gel
The product I am about to blog is not all 100% natural. But for someone (like me) who has been struggling with obvious pigmentation and sunspots as I age, this is THE best sunscreen for the face I have ever used!
The one thing that qualifies for its mention on this blog, is the same thing that makes this product so amazing! Fernblock.
I ♥ Heliocare advanced SPF 50 high protection gel because:
* it smells great
* it applies very smoothly onto skin
* easily and quickly absorbed into skin
* does not leave a residue layer behind
* does not feel sticky or leave a coated layer on the face
* its texture is a combination of gel and lotion. Light yet substantial. Not watery or creamy-rich lotion.
* does not clog pores
* provides broad spectrum protection (UVA & UVB)
* and… has Fernblock.
What is Fernblock?
Fernblock is a marketing term used to conceptualize the advanced technology of the extraction of P. Leucotomos. A botanical extract. P. Leucotomos is actually Polypodium leucotomos – a fern from Central America.
This fern is originally an aquatic plant. Over the years, it has adapted life on land. By doing so, it found a way to develop its own protective mechanism against UV radiation!
Over 12 years of research and clinical investigation, conducted in conjunction with the Harvard Medical School and industry experts, have led to the advanced science of extracting the photoprotection compounds of this fern. This resulted in the creation of the now patented, Fernblock Photoimmunoprotection Technology.
All I can say is, you got to try it to believe it. One of the best sunscreen for face on the market…by far.
