Review: Avalon Organics Organic Rosemary Body Lotion

Buying an organic and natural skin care product does not have to hurt the wallet. This is especially true with Avalon Organics.

I first noticed this brand at Watsons (Singapore) where I went looking for a body lotion.

What got my attention was the bottles’ label that stated ‘Made With 70% Organic Content‘. Made from certified organic essential oil, this lotion came at a price tag of S$11 a bottle. Not to mention that Watsons was having a Avalon Organics promotion of Buy 3 and enjoy 15% discount, I could not resist.

The two things that caught my eye about this body lotion

There were 5 aromas to choose from: Rosemary, Peppermint, Lavender, Lemon & Aloe-Unscented. I choose Rosemary (because I thought it was an interesting scent) and Lavender.

And let me tell you, I fell in love with this body lotion the moment I activated my first pump. The smell of the Rosemary essential oil is strong and lingers on the skin for a long time. The texture of the lotion is creamy making application very smooth. I did not get the ‘sticky’ oily or creamy feeling that some body lotions leave behind. I kept looking back at the bottle not believing I got this amazing lotion at such a good price.

While I love the smell of the Rosemary, that was not the case for some of my friends. Perhaps it is an acquired scent. Nevertheless, the quality of the lotion is still amazing. The next day, my skin feels supple and soft.

I went back to Watsons within days (while the promotion was still on) and bought more of the Lavender as well as Lemon. I even bought the brand’s Lavender shampoo and cleanser – which I am also crazy in love with. Will blog on another post.
