Guardian Health & Beauty Opens New Flagship Concept Store, Guardian Plus

Occupying over 8,500 sqft of space in Ngee Ann City Takashimaya Shopping Centre, this is the world’s largest Guardian store with the widest array of health and beauty brands.

From the outside looking into the store, it looks like another regular Guardian store. Just a whole lot bigger and brighter. But, don’t be fooled. This new Guardian Plus store is especially designed to give store patrons an added element of highly personalised and interactive shopping experience.

While Guardian Plus does carry some great natural and organic personal skincare and haircare products, they are not located in a common area. Rather, they are on shelves under the general categories of hair, body, skin care etc. This is an area of interest that Sarah Anne Boyd, COO of Guardian Health & Beauty is interested to explore further in the near future.

Nevertheless, the new plus elements (or highlights) in Guardian’s new concept store are:

#1+: New Products
Some 1,000 out of 20,000 health and beauty products are only exclusively available in Guardian
Plus. They include Skincode (Swiss skincare brand), Timotei (Swede haircare brand), Bioderma (Frencg derma skincare brand), and over 500 product lines from Boots (Britain’s #1 health and beauty brand).

#2+: More Pharmaceutical Services
At Guardian Plus, there are 4 types of pharmaceutical services and advisors: the usual pharmacist, nutritionist, health advisor and beauty advisor. There is even an private consultation area available for shoppers to speak confidentially with the in-store specialists. Free basic health checks are available upon request.

#3+: Digital corner

Located in the middle of the store is a multi-functional digital interactive area equipped with a huge pillar of touch screen directories, electronic tablets and price scan machines. This is designed for time-starved sophisticated shoppers who need information on product location, price check and in-store promotions pronto.

If you cannot handle asking a store assistant for something without getting a blank stare, having to repeat yourself, or waiting around for a response while they go off to the back of the store to check with someone else, head straight for this area to do it yourself!

#4: Play-Trial-Test areas
These are dedicated pocket areas in the store that shoppers can try out the latest beauty products and best sellers. The most exciting feature is: Shoppers are also able to get personalized hair and skin analyzing services. For free! (Read Get Your Free Hair & Skin Check @ Guardian Plus)
