Bare Your Sole 2015: Habitat for Humanity Annual Walkathon

Love to walk? Habitat for Humanity’s 7th annual Bare Your Sole walkathon is here again! The barefooted event will be held this year on Saturday, May 30 2015 from 8am to 12 noon set along Palawan Beach, Sentosa Island.  This 2km and 4km charity walkathon marks the first of its kind walk on Singapore’s leisure and entertainment island.

Bare Your Sole brings people together from all walks of life to…walk; and raise awareness for people living in poverty without the ability to afford basic amenities. Funds raised from this event will go directly to support Habitat for Humanity’s Singapore project, HomeWorks. In other words, this event is about Singaporeans helping needy Singaporeans.

About HomeWorks

A local initiative aimed at improving the living conditions of the elderly, the sick and the physically challenged living in one-room flats in Singapore. Last year, more than 5,000 event participants and over $300,000 was raised. Since the inception of this programme in 2006, Habitat for Humanity has successfully engaged close to 7,000 volunteers to assist disadvantaged Singaporeans in refurbishing their homes.
