What I am Grateful for in 2012

This is the best time of the year to step back, reflect on all the events that have happened, and feel grateful for all the unforgettable moments that make up the sum of our individual lives.

Some unforgettable moments I am grateful for in 2012:
Travel. This year, I travelled quite a bit, and for various reasons ranging from friends’ weddings to a family reunion. I went to Paris. London. Hong Kong. Ho Chi Minh. Hanoi. Even Port Dickson -just to name a few; and these are my unforgettable travel moments.

BFFs & Peas in a pod. Manila.

Date Nights. I love date nights! It is a great time to bond, and spend special time with that special someone. For me, it is spending these awesome dates with my husband and best friend.

Good Friends. I have the blessing of having many great girlfriends. Fabulous women who never fail to support me, celebrate and laugh with me. They come from near, and far away. These are only a handful of the captured moments with some. Good friends are worth more than money in the bank!

A night of surprise birthday fun! (Gfs from Canada & Singapore)

With my Sivananda gals. Kerala, India (Gfs from Sweden, USA & Vietnam)

On top of Table Mountain. Cape Town, South Africa. (Gfs from South Africa, England & Singapore)

Bunch of gorgeous pilots, and then there’s me. (Gfs from Singapore, Malaysia & Australia)

My mother-in-law. This year, my beloved mother-in-law lost her six-month battle to brain cancer. For me (and many others), she was the epitome of love, and unwavering strength. We clicked in a way that only the spirit within us could understand.

Because you loved ikebana…this, I pray for you.

If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me.

Place them in my Mother’s arms,

And tell her they’re from me.

Tell her I love her and miss her;
and when she turns to smile,

place a kiss upon her cheek,

and hold her for a while.

Because remembering her is easy,
I do it everyday;

but there is an ache in my heart

that will never go away.

Dear Elaine, I know you always be the angel above that guides me everyday. You are the wind. You are the sun. You are the rain. You are the bird that sings. You are everything; and everywhere around me. ♥

Now, it’s your turn. What are you grateful for this year?
